On January 16, information from the Ho Citadel Heritage Management Board and key relics of Thanh Hoa province said that after a period of temporary suspension to welcome visitors to serve the cleaning, embellishment and environmental sanitation work at Am Tien relic site, the messy situation due to spontaneous tents and kiosks has been cleaned up and handled. Currently, the relic site has basically met the conditions to reopen, welcoming people and tourists to visit. It is expected that from January 19, the relic site will officially open to welcome visitors.

Representatives of the Ho Citadel Heritage Management Board and key relics of Thanh Hoa province said that after the process of rectifying and overcoming shortcomings, the relic management work has initially become disciplined, especially in managing protection forest land, handling illegal business kiosks and dismantling illegal religious construction works within the relic area. The early reopening is to meet the needs of sightseeing and belief of people and tourists at the end of the year.

Previously, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued a comprehensive management plan to protect, exploit and promote the value of relics. At the same time, the locality decided to temporarily stop welcoming visitors in the Nua mountain area, Nua temple and Am Tien from December 28, 2025 to carry out renovation, repair and environmental sanitation.
The complex of historical relics and national scenic spots of Ba Trieu uprising site has an area of nearly 530 hectares, located on the Ngan Nua range, belonging to Tan Ninh, Mau Lam and Trung Chinh communes (Thanh Hoa province). This area has overlapping mountainous terrain and majestic natural landscape.


According to history books, this is a sacred land associated with the uprising of Ba Trieu - the national hero who raised the flag to mobilize troops against the Dong Ngo army in 248.
Every year, this relic complex attracts a large number of people and pilgrims from all over to offer incense and sightsee, with the peak being the beginning of the new year.
