The Thea Award is a prestigious award, considered the "Oscar of the international entertainment industry", honoring creative teams and individuals who have designed, built and brought unique entertainment experiences around the world. The 31st Thea Awards Ceremony in 2024 of TEA took place at SeaWorld Orlando (USA).
Here, the Kiss of The Sea show at Sunset Town (Phu Quoc) is the only representative of Vietnam on the list of Excellence Awards, and won in the Live Event Category (Outdoor Show). The list of Excellence Awards this time also includes sculptures, shows, museums, games... at famous amusement parks around the world such as Europa Park (Germany), NEOBIO Museum (Shanghai), The Sphere (Las Vegas), Tokyo DisneySea (Japan)...
Kiss of The Sea being honored at the 31st Thea Awards is considered a special achievement in the entertainment industry of Vietnam because this is the first show in the history of the entertainment industry of Vietnam to receive this prestigious award. This shows that the experiences at Vietnam's amusement parks have reached international stature and have been recognized by prestigious world awards. Launched in January 2024, Kiss of The Sea immediately became the most popular show in Phu Quoc today. The show is a product of Sun Group in collaboration with ECA2 - the world's most famous multi-experience show production company based in France.
With an investment of thousands of billions of VND and being the first and only multimedia technology show in Vietnam to date, Kiss of The Sea possesses the world's leading advanced and large-scale technologies. The sea screen of more than 1,000m2 helps "Kiss of the Sea" establish the title of "The world's largest theater on the sea" or the stage has 3 consecutive projection domes and 300 devices used to set up multiple effects of light, fire, water, laser, fireworks...
There are up to 8 technologies and performing arts used in Kiss of The Sea: fire, water, laser, light, music, projection, fireworks and finally performing arts by international actors, to tell the love story between a young man from Phu Quoc and a girl from the far side of the mysterious galaxy who came to Earth through a black hole.
The show is performed every evening of the week (except Tuesday) at Sunset Town at 9:30 pm, with the most special highlight at the end, which is a spectacular fireworks display with interesting special lighting effects, making Phu Quoc the only island in the world that fires fireworks 365 days a year. And with being honored as excellent by Thea Awards, Kiss of The Sea continues to affirm its position as a show that every tourist must enjoy when coming to Phu Quoc.
