The authorities have identified the identities of the two people who died in the serious traffic accident that occurred in Dong Hung Hamlet, Hung My Commune, Ca Mau Province on the morning of July 7.
The two victims were identified as Mr. Nguyen Van G., 61 years old and Ms. Le Thi T., 73 years old. Both of them live in Hamlet 4, Tan Thanh Ward, Ca Mau Province.
At around 9:30 a.m., Mr. Nguyen Minh N., born in 1993, residing in Ma Tam hamlet, Nguyen Viet Khai commune, Ca Mau province, was driving a car with license plate 69C-081.xx on National Highway 1 from Cai Nuoc commune to Ca Mau.
When reaching Dong Hung hamlet, Hung My commune, it collided with a motorbike with license plate 85F1-349.xx driven by Mr. Nguyen Van G. carrying Ms. Le Thi T. (a motorbike traveling in the opposite direction, colliding with another vehicle, causing it to fall to the left side of the motorbike.
As a result, Mr. Nguyen Van G. and Ms. Le Thi T. died on the spot; the truck with license plate 69C-081.xx and the motorbike with license plate 85F1-349.xx were burned and severely damaged.
The incident partially paralyzed traffic on National Highway 1A.
Local police are protecting the scene of the accident to investigate and clarify the cause of the incident. Currently, the police are working with the truck driver, the victim's relatives, the person who knew about the incident, and the witness. Ca Mau Provincial Police were also present in time to assign forces to investigate and examine the scene, clarifying the cause of the accident.
