In a recent interview with Ilgan Sports, Song Hye Kyo shared, "I always try my best in every project. But when I watch my own films, I tend to focus on what I missed, so there are always some regrets..." When rating her acting, she said, "I still think I would give my acting 80/100 points." Her latest film, Dark Nuns, debuted at the Korean box office on January 24.
The film is set in the same universe as The Priests.
It tells the story of two nuns who perform a forbidden ritual to save a boy possessed by an evil spirit."Although it is a mystical film, I consider it a story with dramatic elements.I like how two women with different beliefs unite under a common belief.
The fact that they work together to save a child really impressed me," she shared about the film.In the film, she plays Sister Junia, a nun who tries to rescue a boy possessed by a demon. When describing her character, Song Hye Kyo said: "She makes bold, courageous choices that I personally cannot do.
I admire her courage and find her extremely attractive." When reflecting on the harsh exorcism scene, one of the highlights of the film, she frankly admitted: "It really exhausted me physically." During filming, she used so much strength that her muscles were temporarily paralyzed. She shared: "Luckily, we filmed that scene near the end of the shoot, so even though my body was exhausted, my emotions still came naturally.Honestly, the exorcism scene was one of the reasons I chose this project.
Since I had never done such a scene before, I was excited about the possibility of showing a different side of myself."
