Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung has just signed a decision to appoint Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu as Director of Vietnam National Drama Theatre.
Recently, Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu took over the management of Vietnam National Drama Theatre after People's Artist Xuan Bac was appointed as Director of the Department of Performing Arts.
The artist has been involved with the theater for about 25 years, holding the position of Deputy Director of Vietnam National Drama Theatre since 2020. For nearly a year, he has been running Vietnam National Drama Theatre without any support from the Deputy Director.
Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu was born in 1975 in Hanoi. He has participated in famous plays such as: "Kieu", "Castle of Sand", "The Man Who Enforced the Death Judgment", "Hamlet", "In the Thunder and the Sun"... and directed many famous stage plays.
In 2015, artist Kieu Minh Hieu won a gold medal at the Theater and Theater Festival of the People's Police soldier in 2015 with the play "in the thunderstorm to see the sun". The "remaining thing" played by Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu won the Gold Medal at the National Drama Theater Festival in 2021.

In addition to working in the theater, the artist also appeared in many TV series, often playing gentle, honest characters such as police and soldiers. Some films that Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu participated in were "When the bird's nest returns" parts 1 and 2, "Nep nha", "dinh menh", "Vong Nguyet Que", "Chang trai da cam", "Sinh tu"...
Most recently, Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu played Secretary Le Binh in the film "Dau Tri". He is a person of Profs and Resolution, always emphasizing to the provincial cadres to maintain their mettle and not let money defeat them.
In her career, artist Kieu Minh Hieu once played the role of a forced, rough husband in "Is it a man?". He showed cold eyes and brutal violent actions when playing the role of Dung.
