From runner-up of Miss Vietnam 1994 to Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association, People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi continues to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Theater Artists Association.

People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi has just been elected to hold the position of Vice President of the Vietnam Theater Artists Association for the new term, along with Vice President Trinh Thi Hong Luu and playwright Nguyen Dang Chuong.

Previously, in June 2026, the female artist was elected as Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association for the 2026-2031 term. This is a notable milestone when she became the first female Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association.

Thus, in a short time, People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi took on two important positions in theater activities at the city and national levels. In addition, she also held the role of Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Literary and Art Associations.

Sharing after receiving the new task, People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi said that what she felt most clearly was not the joy of being trusted but the great responsibility placed on her shoulders. According to the female artist, the trust of the congress is also the entrustment of faith of generations of artists to those who have worked in the profession for many years.

“Therefore, I always remind myself to try harder to be worthy of that trust,” she shared.

More than 30 years attached to art

Born in 1971, Trinh Kim Chi became known to the public when she won the 2nd runner-up of the Miss Vietnam 1994 contest. After the contest, she did not choose the path of a simple beauty but continued to pursue theater and cinema.

The female artist used to work at the Ho Chi Minh City Drama Theater, Hong Van Stage, Saigon Drama and participated in many TV series. However, theater is still a field she has put a lot of heart into.

In 2015, Trinh Kim Chi established Trinh Kim Chi Drama Stage and took on the role of management, production, and director in addition to acting work. The stage became a place where she invested in new works, while creating opportunities for many young artists.

During her activities, she was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist in 2014 and People's Artist in 2023. In 2024, she completed her master's program at Hanoi University of Theater and Cinema.

Pressure becomes motivation

In her new position, NSND Trinh Kim Chi's work schedule is predicted to be thicker. In addition to artistic activities at Trinh Kim Chi Theater, she must participate in Association work, meetings, professional programs and community activities.

However, the female artist believes that pressure can also become a motivation for herself to strive harder. For her, the important thing is to maintain a positive spirit, know how to listen, share and constantly learn.

People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi also emphasized that a leader does not necessarily have to do everything but needs to know how to listen, connect, inspire and together with the collective towards good values for art and the community.

From a runner-up who entered art more than three decades ago, Trinh Kim Chi is now standing in a different position: both an artist, a stage operator and participating in career management.
