Ms. Thien An is a defendant in the marriage and family case related to the "claim to determine father for child" with the plaintiff being singer Trinh Tran Phuong Tuan ( jack).
In her self-defence, Ms. Thien An affirmed that she did not accept all of the plaintiff's lawsuit requests. According to her, the plaintiff was Mr. Tuan, so he himself had to provide evidence to prove his request. Ms. An believes that if Mr. Tuan wants to be recognized as the biological son of D (born on April 1, 2021), he must be responsible for submitting complete supporting documents to the court.
At the same time, the defendant also requested to be absent from the entire process of the proceedings, including working sessions, mediation, disclosure of evidence as well as the trial. The reason given by Ms. An is to focus on time taking care of young children and personal work.
"I hope the court will allow me to authorize a lawyer or legal representative to work on my behalf. I do not want to reconcile or negotiate with Mr. Tuan, Ms. An stated in her self-defence.
Previously, on August 14, the People's Court of Region 2 (HCMC) announced that it had accepted the lawsuit No. 152/2025/TLST-HNGD. The case arose from a lawsuit filed on March 28 by singer Jack. In the petition, the male singer requested the court to determine that baby D was his biological child and requested that the defendant not be hindered in the rights and obligations of fatherhood towards the baby.
The case is still in the process of being resolved. The court will continue to review evidence from the parties to make a verdict according to the law.
