The movie "The Billionaire Kiss" revolves around the story of sisters Kieu (Thu Trang) - Van (Thien An) and the troubles related to love. Because of trusting the wrong guy Dat (Huy Khanh), Kieu lost all her savings and even mortgaged her house to gangsters.
To get money to ransom her house, Kieu plans for Van to marry a rich man. As a result, Van gets caught in a love triangle with two guys - Tu (Ma Ran Do) and Quang (Le Xuan Tien).
Released on the first day of Lunar New Year (January 29), the first film directed by Thu Trang received positive reviews from the audience about its content and acting.
However, many viewers also argued about the ending of the movie "Billionaire Kiss", because they did not know whether to support Van being with Quang or Tu.
Talking to Lao Dong, Thu Trang revealed that the film has many endings. In one ending, the character Van chooses a rich, talented businessman - Quang, but there is also an ending where Van chooses a rich, love-sick "bad boy" - Tu.
When going to the cinema, the audience does not know in advance which ending they will see. The screenings are arranged randomly, some audiences will see the ending of Van returning to Tu but some will see the ending of Van returning to Quang.
Regarding the audience's debate about who is worthy of being by Van's side, Thu Trang said: "Initially, the film crew determined that the film would only have one ending, but when I got to the set, I asked the crew to film me two endings. I thought a lot about the ending and decided to leave it open-ended.
The "blind tearing" part where Van chooses Quang or Tu is a "bonus" for the audience. Who gets to see Quang and Van or who gets to see Tu and Van is random.
In the past few days, I have read many comments from the audience about whether Van chose Quang or Tu. Both my team and I are very happy when everyone is discussing this enthusiastically."
Speaking further with Lao Dong, Thien An expressed that she liked both endings. “Actually, when editing the film, I realized that I was randomly “blindly tearing the bag”, not knowing which theater would have which ending.
At the end, I turned to ask Trang (Thu Trang) who Van would end up with, and Trang told me to just watch it. The result at my theater was that Van would end up with Quang. Now I'm still missing an ending where Van ends up with Tu, so I'll go to another theater to watch the movie again to see if Van can end up with Tu or not."
Previously, the beauty queen also admitted that the role of Thuy Van is 80% similar to her in terms of personality, thinking, appearance and outlook on life.
