Trade - tourism join forces to elevate the Vietnamese market

The series of international events taking place in Ho Chi Minh City in September will not only create a large-scale forum for trade and tourism promotion, but also affirm the city's role as a gateway to Vietnam's integration with the global market.

In early September (September 4 to 6), Ho Chi Minh City will organize 4 large-scale international events at the same time for the first time, including: Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair (ITE HCMC 2025), the 12th Congress of the Global Tourism Promotion Organization Organization (TPO), Connecting the international goods supply chain - Viet Nam International Sourcing and Ho Chi Minh City Export Forum 2025.

ITE HCMC 2025 has the theme of Sustainable Tourism, a vibrant experience. This is the 19th time the event has been held, marking a solid development step of the ITE HCMC Fair on its journey to become an influential international tourism promotion platform in the Mekong region and Asia.

ITE HCMC is the only tourism fair in Vietnam with an international buyer program, honored as Asia's Best Trade Show at the 2024 MICE World Awards.

This year, the city is preparing to welcome more than 240 international buyers from more than 40 corporations, countries and territories to attend ITE HCMC 2025. In particular, for the first time, the event attracted the participation of leading public service and MICE travel companies such as FCM Travel, American Express Global Business Travel, BCD Travel... affirming Ho Chi Minh City's increasingly clear position on the international investment and public service tourism map.

In addition to the strategic and familiar markets such as the US, Australia, China, India, Singapore, France, Spain, the ITE HCMC 2025 Fair is also attracted the attention of new markets such as Poland, Denmark, Qatar, Brazil and Portugal - a market providing high-end international visitors for Vietnam tourism.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, in the context of the tourism industry promoting restructuring, optimizing resources and strengthening linkages for sustainable development, the ITE HCMC 2025 Fair plays a key role in strategically connecting Vietnam and the global tourism market. ITE HCMC continues to be an effective and cost-effective promotion strategy, helping businesses and localities promote their destinations. At the same time, it affirms the position of Ho Chi Minh City as a center for integration, creativity and leading tourism in the region.

This year's fair also expands connections with relevant industries and levels through the consecutive opening of 3 major events at the same time including ITE HCMC, TPO and Vietnam International Sourcing 2025. Thereby, opening up a scale of international multilateral connectivity, not only in the tourism sector but also linking with industry and trade and international trading partners.

Mr. Nguyen The Bao - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines shared that ITE HCMC 2025 is not only a trade promotion event, but also a symbol of the vitality, strength and creativity of the Vietnamese tourism industry in a period of many fluctuations but also full of opportunities for reshaping.

The unit is implementing a plan to open and restore 15 routes to strategic markets, serving the high-end international tourist segment such as Italy, Denmark, Russia, China, the UAE, Japan, South Korea and India. At the same time, upgrading services according to international 5-star standards, promoting sustainable development through green operations and applying SAF aviation fuel.
