Based on a famous webtoon (online comic), The precious Zombie of the fathers hearts story is about Jung Hwan (Jo Jung Suk), a devoted father who begins a secret training course to protect his daughter Soo Ah (Choi Yu Ri) - currently the last survivor on Earth.
The project marks the return of Jo Jung Suk to the big screen after the films Exit - escape in the air (9.42 million views), Pilot - The female pilot ( earning more than 30 million USD, helping him win Emperor Baeksangs...
The actor said that he accepted to participate because the script was attractive. This is also the reason why he did not read the original comic before filming but only read after filming: I feel attached to this character because like Jung Hwan, I will do anything for my daughter. I want to depict the emotions and feelings between father and daughter. The only challenge is how to control them in the most natural way.
According to the Korean star, a significant change in the work that he appreciated compared to the original was the ending. Many webtoon readers are worried about whether My Daughter is a Zombie will have a happy or sad ending. I really like the happy ending that has been changed in the adaptation.
