On February 15, the Korean movie Omniscient Readers Viewpoint released its first poster and trailer.
Omniscient Readers Viewpoint is adapted from the famous webtoon of the same name. The film tells the story of Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop) - an ordinary office worker - the only reader of the fantasy novel Three Ways to Survive in a Destructive World that has been published in many editions for 10 years.
The day the novel ends, its events begin to happen in real life and Kim Dok Ja is the only one who knows how this world will end.
"All-round reader" Kim Dok Ja meets the main character of the novel Yoo Joong Hyuk (Lee Min Ho). From there, they began their fight for survival, determined to save the world from the end of the world.
In the first trailer, Kim Dok Ja reads a line from the first chapter of the novel: "The metro stops in the middle of Dongho Bridge". The line of words became a reality, the metro trip that Kim Dok Ja was taking to stop was exactly as described in the novel, and he realized that "this is the first part of that novel".
After the bridge collapsed, Kim Dok Ja had a dramatic meeting with Yoo Joong Hyuk. The breathtaking action trailer then continues to reveal the all-star cast, including Chae Soo Bin, Shin Seung Ho, Nana and Jisoo (Blackpink).
The film's poster also stimulates with the words: "The world in the novel has become a reality".
In the female cast, Nana and Jisoo are noticed.
Nana plays the strong, independent character Jung Hee Won, a member of the group of the two male leads. In the trailer, Nana's close-up scene was praised for her unique appearance.
Jisoo plays Lee Ji Hye - a female high school student with outstanding fighting ability. In the trailer, Jisoo has a scene of holding a gun to fight tensively. This promises to be a film that shows the transformation of the female singer who moves into acting.
Omniscient Readers Viewpoint will be released in July 2025.
