Not only is it an opening event of the film week, the opening night also becomes a colorful performance stage, affirming the youthful vitality of Vietnamese cinema and culture.
This year's theme is aimed at the spirit of "sustainable development and international integration", so the art section focuses on emotional stories - where music, cinema and stage performance blend into a seamless flow. At the beginning of the program, the performance "Miracle flow" and the song "Vietnam" performed by Vinh Khuat brought bright energy. The male singer's powerful voice combined with choreography and dance troupe created an exciting musical picture, opening the complete for a large-scale art night.
The atmosphere continued to be pushed up with the performance of the "24th Vietnam Film Festival - The Journey of emotions and creativity" performed by the Tre dance troupe. visual colors combined with strong stage movements help the audience have an overview of the spirit of Vietnamese cinema in the new period: innovation, integration, youthfulness and always seeking breakthroughs.




One of the emotional highlights of the opening night was the performance of Orange, Han Sara and Lamoon's "I'll Be There". The three "Em xinh say hi" bring true emotions about the artist's journey: challenging steps but always supported by love for the profession and the desire for constant creativity. The combination of sophisticated voice and storytelling by music makes the whole audience stunned.



Continuing the flow of emotions is a performance taken from the Wood Fish Flocks. The image of the cycling character and the line "let's marry you in 5 years" resounded as a beautiful memory, paving the way for the song "Phep mau" performed by Nguyen Hung. Accepting that cinema is the dream of changing his life, the male artists performance brought a sense of closeness and sincerity.
Youthfulness and freshness continued to appear in the performance "For love, remember" performed by Han Sara, along with a series of songs "Em la non trai anh", "Kho bau" performed by Trong Hieu and the dance troupe. The vibrant energy and strong choreography create a clear entertainment highlight during the holiday night.


Anh Tu's performances "Where we call home" and "Chants of the People" brought the audience back to a warm space, connecting tradition with modernity.
In the second half of the show, the stage became deeply crowded with Sau thu thuy thu and Ha Lan performed by Ha Tran and Tran Nghia. Phan Manh Quynh's melody placed in the opening ceremony space created a very Vietnamese lyrical tone, bringing viewers into memories and emotions with familiar cinematic characters.
Next, the song "Where the fireworks are brilliant - Party of senses" (Orange and Hoang Dung), along with "Light" - OST version of Lat mat 8 brought a strong, powerful atmosphere. The appearance of young actors such as Yuno Bigboi, Lena, Pittu Quyen, Rio Hao Nhien, Cherry Hai My... makes the stage truly a "light feast", expressing the breakthrough spirit of the new generation of artists.
The most anticipated moment was Duc Phuc's performance in the medley "The One Who Is Here, Don'tcome" by Phu Dong Thien Vuong. The resounding, bright voice, and magnificent staging brought the audience to a climax of emotions. The image of Phu Dong - a symbol of the nation's resilience is recreated through music and dance, creating a symbolic ending for the opening night.
In addition to art performances, the 24th Vietnam Film Festival also marked an important moment when UNESCO officially awarded the title of "World Creative City for Cinema" to Ho Chi Minh City. This is not only an international recognition but also a driving force for creative spaces, cultural businesses and the young generation of artists in the city to continue to develop.
