Dak Lak - Authorities have approached the scene to rescue a group of workers trapped in flooded areas while constructing the North-South Expressway.

On November 21, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of the Traffic Police Department of Dak Lak Provincial Police said that the rescue force had approached and rescued a group of 14 workers who had been stuck for many days at the Chi Thanh - Van Phong Expressway construction site (belonging to the North - South Expressway).

The group of workers fell into a state of complete isolation due to the large flood.

The authorities have brought the canoe close to the accident area. However, the strong water flow and phone signal caused many difficulties in the rescue work.

At around 5:30 p.m. the same day, some workers were rescued and returned to their families; the rest were still being approached and taken out of the danger zone.

Previously, these workers were isolated since November 19 at Phu Khe 1 intersection (Dong Hoa ward). Mr. Nguyen Ba Hung (21 years old, from Gia Lai) said: "We have been stuck for many days, the food is exhausted, there is nothing to eat".

About 2 km from this location, a group of 4 workers driving a roll at the project also fell into a similar situation when the food and drinking water were all gone.
