The exhibition opening was attended by Mr. Dang Tran Cuong - Director of the Department of Cinema, Ms. Le Thi Ha - Director of the Vietnam Film Institute; on the side representing the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City were Mr. Tran The Thuan - Member of the City Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City and People's Artist Thanh Thuy - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City.
At the event, Director of the Vietnam Film Institute Le Thi Ha said: The development of Ho Chi Minh City through many historical periods has been depicted and truly reflected through documentaries and feature films. Each film is a piece imbued with colors about a dynamic city, looking towards the future while still preserving unique values. The exhibition space will be a place to introduce more than 200 photos, which are slices, multi-dimensional perspectives of film and photography artists about Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City".
The new feature of the exhibition is the application of modern technology and the construction of a mixed reality space (Mix reality - MR) and photobooth 360° to enhance the interesting interactive experience for visitors. At the exhibition, Nguyen Hoang Minh - a student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture said: "Through this exhibition, my practical lessons on art become more lively. I learned interesting knowledge about the country's cinema and photography."
The exhibition "Ho Chi Minh City Rising with the country through the cinematic perspective" is an activity in the series of events of the 24th Vietnam Film Festival, jointly organized by the Vietnam Film Institute and the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City. The exhibition welcomes visitors from November 21 to November 25.
