On the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year, on January 27, Nhan Dan Newspaper organized the issuance and donation of Binh Ngo Nhan Dan Spring Newspaper to officers and soldiers on duty in border and island areas across the country.

The activity is part of the plan to issue Binh Ngo Tet Newspaper 2026, aiming to bring spring publications early to the forces directly protecting national sovereignty and security in areas far from the mainland. It is expected that about 40,000 newspapers will be transferred to border posts, naval units, islands and rigs, equivalent to the number of the previous year, with the coordination of relevant units and the companionship of a number of organizations and businesses.
Previously, on the morning of January 17, about 5,000 newspapers were sent to the Navy Command and representatives of officers, soldiers, and people of Truong Sa island district. This is a spring issue that was delivered early, while most publications are still in the printing process, to promptly bring the Tet atmosphere and current affairs information to officers and soldiers on the front lines.

Speaking at the press conference, Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association emphasized: "Nhan Dan Spring Newspaper is not only a special press publication celebrating the new spring, but also a meaningful spiritual gift, conveying the feelings of the Party, State and people across the country to cadres and soldiers who are day and night performing the task of protecting the sovereignty and security of the borders and islands of the Fatherland. The press donation activity has become a good tradition, contributing to strengthening the military-civilian solidarity relationship, adding motivation for the forces to be firmly on the front lines in the days of Tet and spring.
Representatives of units under the Ministry of National Defense expressed their appreciation for the spring newspaper awarding activity, saying that the newspapers sent from the mainland to the border and islands are a practical sharing, helping officers and soldiers feel more clearly the concern of the rear in the days leading up to Tet.
The handover of spring newspapers to forces on duty at borders and islands has been maintained for many years, becoming an annual activity every Tet holiday, contributing to connecting information and feelings between the mainland and the front lines of the Fatherland.
