5-star cruise brings more than 3,000 tourists to Quang Ninh

    Quang Ninh - On the morning of October 18, the 5-star cruise ship Costa Serena brought 3,040 tourists from Hong Kong (China) to Ha Long.

    This is the second time in 2024 that Costa Serena - an Italian cruise ship, visits Ha Long on the Hong Kong - Ha Long route and vice versa.

    At Ha Long International Passenger Port, travel agencies have coordinated to organize transportation and promote many unique sightseeing activities to tourists, including visiting Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh Museum, experiencing local culture and cuisine through city tours, and many other tourist attractions.

    According to the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism, up to now, the province has welcomed 42 international cruise ships in 2024, carrying more than 50,000 tourists from many different countries.

    By the end of 2024, there are expected to be 13 more cruise ships, bringing about 15,000 more tourists to Quang Ninh.

    According to the plan, on October 21, 2024, the Viking Orion ship is expected to bring more than 1,000 European tourists to Ha Long, helping Quang Ninh reach the milestone of 3 million international visitors in 2024, completing the target according to Resolution No. 20-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee on tourism development tasks in 2024.
