2025 European Literature Days - From Where and Where: European Migration Literature Speeches takes place from May 8 to 12 in Hanoi.
The event will bring literary lovers in Vietnam stories and perspectives of outstanding Vietnamese authors of contemporary European literature.

The program was conducted by the German Cultural Institute (Goethe- Institut), French Institute ( Institut French), British Council ( British Council) and the Ambassadors of Spain, Czech Republic and Italy with many discussions with different literary topics, from stories about concerns and reflections that contribute to the characteristic appearance of migration literature, to gender issues in composition.
In particular, literary readers and young writers will have the opportunity to exchange more closely with writers through literary talks, or writing workshops to discuss literary creation from an interdisciplinary perspective.
According to Mr. Oliver Brandt - Director of Goethe Institute, European Literature Days" focuses on migration literature, where diverse stories about individual concerns in the context of globalization, about the journeys to achieve recognition, contributing to a diverse and multi- votive European literature. And not only bringing new personal stories and perspectives, Vietnamese-origin migration writers also contribute to expanding the scope of literature.

Accordingly, literature is not only a novel and poem, but through their practices, we also see the intersections with stage, performance, cinema, journalism, podcasting...
First launched to literary audiences in 2011, European Literature Days became an annual program for literary audiences in Vietnam and made an important contribution to cultural dialogues in general and literature in particular between Europe and Vietnam.
In 2025, it continued to mark many important milestones between Europe and Vietnam when the 35th anniversary of Vietnam - European Union, 75 years of Vietnam - Czech Republic and 50 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany. Accordingly, "European Literature days 2025" will help the audience explore the writing journey of Vietnamese writers in this continent.
It is known that some activities at the "2025 European Literature Days" that will receive the attention of the audience will take place at the event, including: Seminar "In spiring Sources" (10.5) and "Migrated personality and generational transformation" (11.5); workshops on writing novels, film scripts, graphic novels or pods will help young Vietnamese writers have the opportunity to practice skills and exchange careers.
