On May 22, at the Lam Dong Provincial Library, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province coordinated with the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City to organize the inauguration ceremony of the Indian Cultural Space.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, this space is formed to strengthen cultural, educational and people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and India; and at the same time meet the needs of people, especially students, to learn, study and research about the country, people, and culture of India.
The Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City has supported many equipment and 100 books on India's history, culture and development for this cultural space.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the coordination and support of the Consulate General of India in the process of building the Indian Cultural Space in the locality.
According to Mr. Nguyen Minh, this space will contribute to diversifying the information resources of the library, creating conditions for people, students and pupils to access more international cultural materials; and at the same time promote cultural exchange between Lam Dong province and India.

Dr. Vipra Pandey - Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City said that Vietnam and India have long-standing friendly relations in many fields such as culture, education and people-to-people exchanges.
According to Dr. Vipra Pandey, the formation of the Indian Cultural Space at the Lam Dong Provincial Library is a meaningful activity, contributing to strengthening cultural understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries.

In the coming time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province will continue to coordinate with the Consulate General of India to organize exchange activities, displays and introduce Indian culture to a large number of people in the province.
