The activity takes place within the framework of the 2026 Sen Village Festival, towards the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026) and the 115th anniversary of Uncle Ho's departure to find a way to save the country (June 5, 1911 - May 6, 2026).
The 9-story Waterfall project is located in the area of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan's tomb, belonging to the Special National Relic Area of the Ho Chi Minh President Memorial Area in Kim Lien commune, Nghe An province. The project has a total investment of more than 34 billion VND, funded by T&T Group.
The 9-story Waterfall project is one of the items under the Planning for preservation, restoration and promotion of the value of the Special National Relic - Ho Chi Minh Memorial Area in Kim Lien, which was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1943/QD-TTg dated November 27, 2020.

The project started in November 2023, to show gratitude for the labor of birth and nurturing of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan, and at the same time contribute to completing the overall landscape of the tomb area, creating more cultural and historical highlights for tourists when visiting President Ho Chi Minh's homeland.
The project is built on the basis of renovating, embellishing and restoring the existing natural stream in the area of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan's tomb.
According to the design, the project consists of 9 consecutive water layers. The central lake is the convergence point of two small streams flowing from the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan and the tomb of Mr. Nguyen Sinh Xin - the youngest brother of President Ho Chi Minh, before becoming a stream through the water layers down to Wanhu in the middle of Dong Tranh mountain and forest space.
The nine layers of water symbolize the 9 words Cu Lao: Sinh, Cuc, Phu, Suc, Truong, Duc, Co, Phuc, Phuc, evoking the merit of parents' birth and nurturing for their children.
Overall, the 9-story Waterfall includes 3 main items: central lake area, stream - waterfall area and scenic walking path area. The project is designed to harmonize architecture, nature and local cultural elements.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Director of Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Thi My Hanh said that the inauguration of the 9-story Waterfall project on the occasion of the Lang Sen Festival in 2026 is expected to contribute to creating a more meaningful cultural and spiritual space, serving people and tourists to offer incense, commemorate, learn about history and culture; and at the same time spread patriotism, national pride and the morality of "drinking water, remembering the source".
