On the night of December 5, at Lam Vien Square, Xuan Huong - Da Lat ward, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee coordinated with relevant agencies to organize the opening ceremony of the International Tea Festival - World T.E.A Fest 2025.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, leaders and former leaders of central ministries, departments and branches, leaders of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, 40 ambassadors from countries, representatives of international organizations and enterprises.
Mr. Dinh Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, said that the locality was given a temperate climate and fertile soil by nature.
For a long time, Lam Dong has been famous for many high-quality agricultural products associated with the brand "Da Lat - the miraculous crystallization of the good land". Among them, Lam Dong has become the cradle of high-end tea brands, alongside famous tea brands in Vietnam and the world.
According to Mr. Dinh Van Tuan, the festival is an opportunity for localities and businesses to introduce unique tea products and culture to friends and domestic and foreign tourists. At the same time, the festival is a bridge to strengthen international cooperation relations, with the presence of more than 50 ambassadors, Consuls General, and more than 80 beauty ambassadors from more than 80 countries.
This festival is also an opportunity to connect tea producers, distributors and consumers; open up opportunities for business cooperation and promote the global supply chain. It is a journey to explore the green tea regions and experience tea culture with long-standing tea artisans, affirmed Mr. Dinh Van Tuan.
At the opening ceremony of the 2025 International Tea Festival, VietKings Organizing Committee announced 4 new Vietnamese records, including: antique 1927 Tea Factory in Bao Loc - one of the oldest tea processing facilities still existing in Vietnam; the organizer of the International Tea Festival with the largest series of cultural, economic and diplomatic activities.
In particular, the performance "Vu khuc thanh tam tra" with 1,111 tea broths mixed with tea and offered in the "Vietnamese tea ceremony" style has the largest number at a location; the festival has many beauty queens and beauty representatives of Miss Cosmo from the most participating countries.
Also at the event, the Vietnam UNESCO Union and the Japan UNESCO Union awarded the Intangible Cultural Heritage Practice Certificate to Lam Dong Tea Joint Stock Company (Ladotea) for its efforts to gather the community to practice and disseminate tea knowledge on an unprecedented scale.
With the theme "A place to connect the quintessence of tea of humanity", the 2025 International Tea Festival will be held for the first time in Vietnam, taking place from December 5 to 7 in Da Lat, Bao Loc and some typical tea growing areas of Lam Dong.
Within the framework of the Festival, people and tourists will experience a series of activities: International Tea Exhibition Fair; high-level conference on sustainable development of the tea industry; tea festival; diplomatic tea program; street festival.
