Young people bring Vietnamese culture to the world

When young artists confidently put on the national cultural color to bring to the world, they not only conquer international audiences, but also foster more love for identity in the hearts of Vietnamese people.

International reach

When Hoa Minzy announced the project "Bac Bling" (Bac Ninh), many people were skeptical and thought that choosing a local product was putting themselves in a difficult position, because someone would sing a song praising their province in other localities.

However, "Bac Bling" was more successful than imagined and immediately created a hit that caused a fever across social networks. Every line, rap line, and Lao Cai style imbued with Bac Ninh in this song all form a trend.

In a show in Da Nang, when invited to perform this song, Hoa Minzy said that this is a song that honors the cultural features of Bac Ninh but also the cultural features of Vietnam, that every Vietnamese person will be proud of that. After nearly 2 weeks of release, this song climbed to the top 1 Youtube, becoming the most impressive debut MV globally. Many international rappers and singers share their impression of the melody and cultural features of Vietnam through this MV. That was probably the biggest success of the project and Hoa Minzy herself had to admit this.

Before Hoa Minzy, many Vietnamese singers also brought Vietnamese music to the world. Hoang Thuy Linh with the hit "Seeing Love" made Vietnamese audiences proud. With a catchy melody, "See Tinh" has reached the world, attracting a series of international stars to "trend" with this song, including famous names such as Blackpink, Thai Y Lam...

Phuong My Chi with "Vu co anh" created a "fever" in Thailand when it was posted by a series of famous music channels, receiving a large amount of interaction. Not only praising the female singer born in 2003, some music lovers also translated this music product into Thai, then covered it, along with the choreography. Or we cannot help but mention the "strange" case of Vietnamese showbiz, Quang Hung MasterD, when the male singer became famous in Thailand before becoming widely known in Vietnam. Quang Hung's Thai fan base is also willing to spend money to give gifts and attend the male singer's fan meeting.

The success of "Bac Bling" and names like Hoang Thuy Linh, Phuong My Chi or Quang Hung MasterD shows a positive signal that the Vietnamese entertainment industry is gradually shaping its own identity to confidently step out into the world. Not only is it a spread, but it is also a way for young artists to creatively and proudly bring traditional culture and folk music into the modern flow. When Vietnamese identity is built with a global spirit, it is not only an individual success, but also a strong step forward for the country's entertainment industry on the world cultural map.

The mission of young artists

The fact that young artists boldly invest in billion-dollar MVs that integrate cultural elements or traditional songs that are renewed in modern style, performing on grand stages with tens of thousands of participants is also contributing to promoting traditional Vietnamese culture to the world.

It can be said that the mission of today's young artist does not stop at creating catchy and viral music products on social networks, but also in the responsibility to preserve and convey the spirit of Vietnamese culture to the world. In the context of globalization, when the boundaries between cultures are becoming more and more faint, affirming the national identity through art becomes more and more important. MVs like "North Bling", "See Love" or "Universe with you" are not merely music products but also a proud introduction about the source, a cultural story told in modern language that global young people can feel. With that spirit, every young artist is becoming a "ambassador" of culture, carrying the mission of connecting Vietnam to the world with a border -music language.

In a conversation with Lao Dong, Tuan Cry himself - the "father" of the hit song "Bac Bling" said that Vietnamese culture has its own beauty and deserves to be spread to international friends. The male artist is proud that "Bac Bling" has reached international standards but also hopes to be able to do more, create more so that Vietnamese music can be known by many international friends.

Or like Phuong My Chi - a young singer who persistently pursues folk music and Vietnamese cultural values, for her, preserving and conserving culture is also a way for Vietnamese music to make an impression when reaching international standards. "I think music is not only a means to express personal skills or emotions but also a bridge between the past and the present, between traditional values and modern life that are constantly moving. For me, folk music is not something old or old, but it is a place to preserve the spirit and identity of the nation. From that, for me, music does not stop at passion but gradually becomes a mission - a long journey to contribute to preserving, conserving and renewing the cultural values of the nation in contemporary life" - the female singer shared.

When Vietnamese artists come to the world, they not only carry the melody and lyrics, but also bring the soul of Vietnamese culture - from folk tunes to proud stories about people and homeland. Their success is not only the numbers on the rankings, but also the spread of the identity and national pride in the international public consciousness. If there is something to confirm that Vietnamese entertainment is really "reaching out", which is the generation of young artists today dared to think big, big and always choose to tell the story of Vietnam in the most era, closest to music - with music.
