According to information from the family, the late artist Xuan Quan passed away after a period of treatment for nasopharyngeal cancer. He enjoyed a lifetime of 64 years.
Previously, People's Artist Xuan Quan had to fight cancer but he still maintained an optimistic spirit, wanting to continue to contribute to the profession of singing in a row.
In the program "Artists and the catwalk" organized by HTV, People's Artist Xuan Quan expressed his happiness when he was awarded the title of People's Artist for the 10th time by the State along with many artists of the Ho Chi Minh City Singing and performing arts Theater, including People's Artist Thanh Trang - his wife.
He is one of the pillars of the Ho Chi Minh City Boi Singing Arts Theater. Although he has retired, he is still working hard to pass on the profession to the younger generation.
At the time of developing stage 3 nasopharyngeal cancer, People's Artist Xuan Quan still played supporting roles and continued to teach at Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Cinema.
With a 3-generation tradition of being associated with the art of performing, he has had many lifelong roles and won many gold medals at street art festivals and festivals. The most famous of which is the role of Trinh An (in "Tram Trinh An").
