On the afternoon of July 31, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized the Launching Ceremony of the contest to create logo designs and image identifiers for APEC Vietnam 2027, in order to find creative ideas to build official logos for APEC Vietnam Year 2027.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang said that this is a very important opening activity for the preparation for APEC 2027, marking the start of a process of starting a communication campaign and building an image for the entire APEC 2027 year, a campaign to promote the country and people of Vietnam.
“In the overall preparation for APEC 2027 in Vietnam, the construction of logo models and image identifiers is of particular importance. The image identifier will accompany all conferences, events, foreign affairs activities and will be shown on media products and related products,” Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang emphasized.
According to Mr. Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, within the framework of APEC 2027, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will preside over and coordinate to organize many rich activities to promote Vietnam's image, including art performances, exhibitions, film screenings, cultural heritage introduction, culinary promotion, tourism promotion, media and many other unique cultural activities.
Thereby contributing to international delegates not only attending conferences but also having the opportunity to feel more deeply about the cultural identity, creativity, and vitality of Vietnam.
The creation of symbolic designs is also an opportunity for Vietnamese artists, designers and the creative community to promote their talents, intelligence and professional responsibility, directly contributing to an important foreign affairs event of the country.
I hope that in the coming time, there will be more quality works and more creative ideas sent to the Organizing Committee, thereby selecting a truly typical identity set, which is both artistic and meets the foreign communication requirements of APEC Year 2027," said Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong.
The contest is open to Vietnamese organizations and individuals and foreigners who are legally living and working in Vietnam are all allowed to participate, without limiting the number of entries of each author.
In terms of ideas and content, the entries should deeply reflect the spirit of APEC cooperation - a mechanism to promote solidarity, self-reliance, economic linkage and prosperous development in the Asia-Pacific region, while fully reflecting the image of a Vietnam rich in cultural identity, innovation and strong rise.
The logo sample must integrate the words "APEC VIET NAM 2027" and do not use images of national flags, emblems or maps. The art requirements require the work to be highly symbolic, concise, modern, unique and not copied; harmonious colors, easy to recognize, convenient for printing and propaganda on many materials and ensuring clear display even in monochrome (black - white) as well as when placed next to the APEC official logo.
