On July 2nd, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee organized a launching ceremony to deploy the Poetry, Music, and Photography Works Competition to celebrate Quang Ninh province becoming a centrally-run city.
The contest is for artists, journalists, officials, party members, civil servants, public employees, union members, association members, students, armed forces soldiers, people inside and outside the province, overseas Vietnamese and foreigners living and working in Quang Ninh.
The organizing committee receives entries from July 2 to the end of August 28, 2026.
Each author is allowed to submit a maximum of 5 works in each genre.
The entries focus on reflecting the 63-year journey of construction and development of Quang Ninh province; affirming outstanding achievements in the fields of economy, culture, society, defense, security and foreign affairs; introducing nature, people, local cultural identity; expressing the aspiration for development and vision to build Quang Ninh city in the future.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh - Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee - requested agencies and units to promote propaganda about the contest in the press, grassroots information systems and digital platforms.
The contest organizing committee will have documents sent to provinces and cities to spread information about the contest nationwide; creating conditions for authors to go on creative field trips at coal mines, armed forces units, border areas, islands and many typical areas of Quang Ninh, thereby having more materials and creative inspiration.
At the program, many artists also proposed solutions to improve the quality and spread of the contest such as applying software in receiving, managing and judging photographic works; inviting the Vietnam Union of Literary and Art Associations, Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists to participate in professional sponsorship; expanding communication activities to attract a large number of authors inside and outside the province to participate.
The contest is expected to create a vibrant literary and artistic activity, arouse creative inspiration in the team of artists and people from all walks of life; form many works of ideological and artistic value, contributing to promoting the image of Quang Ninh being dynamic and rich in identity, towards the goal of becoming a city directly under the Central Government.
