On January 19, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said that the locality has launched the Lam Dong Provincial Logo Design Contest (phase 2).
The contest is for all Vietnamese citizens living in the country and abroad, regardless of age or occupation.
Professional and amateur authors, artists, and graphic designers can participate. Each author is allowed to submit a maximum of 3 design samples for the contest.
Each work is shown on A4 paper (21cm x 29.7cm), the logo width is no more than 15cm, placed in the center of the paper. Below is a miniature black and white logo, maximum width 3cm.
Each work must be accompanied by an explanatory note of no more than 300 words, clearly stating the meaning, message and expressive value of the design.
According to the Organizing Committee, the logo of Lam Dong province needs to express the typical characteristics of the land and people of Lam Dong; have high generalization, conciseness, and modernity; thereby contributing to propagating and promoting the image of Lam Dong province to domestic and international friends.
The logo chosen must create connection, accompany and effectively serve the socio-economic development tasks of the locality in the new period.
The logo must be unique, not overlapping or confusing with existing logos and products; simple, easy-to-understand, easy-to-identify form; convenient for zooming in and out and application on many different materials. The logo does not use more than 4 colors, ensuring high resolution and sharp images.
The time to receive entries is from now until the end of March 31, 2026. It is expected that the results of the contest will be announced and awarded at the end of May 2026. The first prize-winning work will be selected as the official Logo of Lam Dong province.
Previously, in the first launch, the Organizing Committee received 370 entries.
However, through the selection rounds, no works met the requirements for use as the official symbol of the province.
From this reality, the Organizing Committee decided to continue launching the 2nd phase of the contest, and at the same time clearly orient the content, encouraging the participation of authors with in-depth expertise in the field of logo design.
The 2nd phase of the contest is expected to attract a large number of authors across the country, thereby selecting works with high artistic value, recognition, and meeting long-term usage requirements.
