On December 27, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) held a Conference to summarize the work in 2025, term 2021-2025 and deploy key tasks for 2026.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and directed the Conference.
The conference also had the participation of Comrade Trinh Van Quyet - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Comrade Le Thanh Long - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; Comrade Mai Van Chinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister and Comrade Members of the Party Central Committee, representatives of leaders of Central Committees, Ministries, branches, and mass organizations, and the National Assembly's Committee.
Speaking to direct the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the preparation of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the Conference as well as the achievements of the sector in 2025.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh assessed that the culture - sports - tourism sector has shown a pioneering role, showing its mark in many fields, such as music, art with creative thinking, sports with a noble spirit, showing the bravery of Vietnamese people, as evidenced by the SEA Games 33 gold medal of U22 Vietnam or the courageous final match of the Vietnamese women's team.
The Prime Minister instructed: "Everything must have emotions. That is something that cannot be seen or touched. But, emotions create endogenous strength, develop intelligence, and help us overcome our own limits.
The Prime Minister expects the entire sector to persevere and make efforts in cultural, sports, and tourism activities: "Culture must deeply penetrate and permeate thinking, actions, and implementation organization; communication must spread; sports must reach out; tourism must break through, creating a development space for the entire sector".
Regarding the new tasks, the Prime Minister mentioned 32 keywords, including: competitive institutions, modern infrastructure, intelligent people, global connectivity, shining achievements, streamlined apparatus, people enjoying, admired by friends.
The Prime Minister directed to prioritize resources to implement the national target program; promote the cultural and entertainment market so that artists can live on their own professions, and people can benefit; build a cultural - national defense and security posture; exploit the intellectual intelligence of Vietnamese people; internationalize a culture rich in national identity abroad; invest in development without stopping; promote socialization and public-private partnership, apply digital transformation, and complete the database for the culture - sports - tourism sector in the first quarter of 2026...
Also at the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised and awarded Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to Vietnamese athletes who achieved results at the recent SEA Games 33.
