On December 27, the delegation of Lam Dong province attended the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress in 2025 in Hanoi, including 36 outstanding delegates. Among them, Ms. Trinh Thi Phung - Da Lat Urban Services Joint Stock Company - was honored to represent more than 92,000 workers in the province to attend the congress.
Ms. Phung said that she has been attached to the street flower and green tree care profession since she was very young, and now it has been more than 20 years. Thanks to her sense of responsibility and many initiatives in her work, she was assigned the task of Team Leader of Team 2, Green Park Team.
With the specific nature of work that requires meticulousness and patience, she always wholeheartedly guides colleagues to improve flower and green tree care techniques.
On festival occasions, especially the Da Lat Flower Festival, Ms. Phung and her colleagues work many times overnight to complete flower carpets, contributing to creating a brilliant appearance for the city.
Most tourists come to Da Lat because they love flowers, so we always try to take care of them so that the streets are always bright," she shared.
From concerns about the profession, Ms. Phung has researched and applied 5 technical initiatives, helping the system of green trees and flowers in streets and parks to always be green and bloom year-round.
In particular, she left her mark through the excavation, bundling and replanting of 1,040 cherry apricot trees to serve the Prenn Pass expansion project.
Despite the old tree, large canopy and complex roots, she and her teammates made efforts to work in all weather conditions and complete the task; after more than 3 months of care, only 7 trees did not survive, achieving a success rate of 99.32%.
With outstanding contributions, in the period 2020-2024, Ms. Phung continuously achieved the title of Grassroots Emulation Soldier; in 2023, she was recognized as a provincial-level Emulation Soldier.
