The program was organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HQHHN in collaboration with the Vietnam Historical Science Association and the Dinh Xuan Lam Historical Foundation, as part of a series of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Professor and teacher Dinh Xuan Lam. Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Hong Son, Head of the Department of History, Director of the Museum of Humanities - University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-HQHHN) said: "The photo exhibition creates a deep impression on everyone's heart, helping us to recognize a master of many generations of students.

Through each shape, we have the opportunity to go back in time to return to our starting point, admire and enjoy the values that the monks have built and consolidated the historical culture.
To organize the exhibition, with thousands of different photos from the archives of families and many organizations and individuals, the Organizing Committee selected 127 photos, arranged in 4 parts.
The first part includes portraits of Professor and People's Teacher Dinh Xuan Lam, highlighted with 18 moments depicting the portrait of a historical figure through different stages, from being a young historical writer with many ambitions to becoming a great tree of contemporary Vietnamese history.

The second part shows the contributions of Prof. Dr. Dinh Xuan Lam to Vietnamese history, including 40 photos, partly describing the typical contributions of a serious historian, while reflecting the international nature in the academic community of the Professor.
The photos also leave the footsteps of activist historist Dinh Xuan Lam across the country and internationally. Among those documentary images, the typical publications of Prof. Dr. Dinh Xuan Lam in the past half century have been reflected in the seriousness, enthusiasm and dedication to the country's history.
From the first works of more than half a century ago, such as History of Vietnam during the 18,18-year period, to the work recently awarded State and Technology awards, the Colonial Movement in Vietnam.
The next part is an image of Professor, People's Artist Dinh Xuan Lam in the memories of teachers, colleagues and students, including 37 moments, depicting the image of affection and the relationship between teachers and students. Including the presence of prestigious masters of the Tam Anh generation, Professor Dao Duy Anh, Professor Tran Van Giau... along with generations of colleagues and students at home and abroad.
The final part is the activity of the Dinh Xuan Lam Historical Fund, including 22 photos showing an 8-year journey, through 8 seasons of awarding prizes to 152 students, masters, doctors, and young scientists, from 12 historical training and research units nationwide.


In addition to the exhibition activities, the program also includes a scientific seminar introducing the life and career of People's Artist Dinh Xuan Lam; Professor, People's Artist Dinh Xuan Lam in the memories of colleagues and students.
The seminar brings together scientists, training agencies, research units and associations founded and developed by Prof. Dr. Dinh Xuan Lam to focus on research, summarization, gratitude and honoring the Professor's heritage. From there, continue to affirm a personality, a career of Dinh Xuan Lam in the flow of contemporary and future History, Social Sciences and Humanities of Vietnam.
Prof. Dr. Dinh Xuan Lam was born in 1925 in Son Tan commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province, in a patriotic family. He followed his father to live in Thanh Hoa since he was a child and graduated with a Doctorate degree from Quoc Hoc Hue in 1941. After the August Revolution in 1945, he began his educational career at Dao Duy Tu Secondary School in Thanh Hoa.
Prof. Dr. Dinh Xuan Lam is often known as one of the "four pillars" of modern Vietnamese history (along with Prof. Phan Huy Le, Prof. Ha Van Tan, Professor. Tran Quoc Vuong), contributed to shaping the revolutionary history of independent Vietnam.
