The program "Protecting and supporting children's development in the online environment in the period 2026 - 2030" aims to build a "shield" to protect children in the digital space.

On the morning of May 29, at Vinschool The Harmony Elementary School (Hanoi), the Ministry of Public Security organized the Launching Ceremony of the Program "Protecting and supporting children's development in the online environment in the period 2026 - 2030" according to Decision No. 468/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.

Not only taking place at the central bridge point in Hanoi with more than 600 delegates attending, the program also connected online to 34 provinces and cities across the country, attracting nearly 10,000 officials, teachers, parents and students to follow.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra emphasized: "Each child today is not only the happiness of each family but also the future of Vietnam. A safe, healthy and humane online environment will help them confidently develop their intellect, personality and bravery in the digital age.

The program for the period 2026 - 2030 is considered a strategic shift in the work of protecting children in cyberspace when changing thinking from handling incidents to proactively preventing and preventing risks early and remotely.

Accordingly, the program aims to build "active immunity" for children against risks in the digital environment through a synchronous solution system between the State, schools, families and technology businesses.

Closely following the direction of General Secretary and President To Lam on comprehensive investment in the young generation, the Program is built on 5 key pillars and 11 groups of major tasks and solutions to form a safe and healthy digital ecosystem for Vietnamese children.

Towards the goal of 100% of schools having solutions to protect students in the online environment. One of the notable highlights of the Program are the specific goals to 2030.

Accordingly, the Government sets a goal:

- 100% of general education institutions implement network security solutions to support management and protection of students.

- 100% of Internet service providers in Vietnam integrate solutions to prevent harmful information on the transmission line.

- 100% of provinces and cities deploy technology to support digital skills education, counseling and supporting children in the online environment.

- 100% of children who are victims of cyberattacks are supported and intervened in time.

To realize these goals, the program identifies the inter-sectoral coordination mechanism as a key factor, creating a "multi-layered shield" to protect children in the digital environment.

With the message "Joining hands and accompanying", the launching ceremony not only has the meaning of launching a national program but is also an appeal to the whole society to participate in protecting children in cyberspace.

In addition to the role of perfecting the legal corridor of management agencies, the program also emphasizes the responsibility of families and schools in educating digital skills and orienting safe Internet use behavior for children.

In particular, technology businesses are expected to participate more strongly in developing technical solutions, building a "Vietnam Technology Shield" to prevent harmful information and child abuse from the root.

The 2026 - 2030 journey is expected to create a foundation for Vietnamese children not only to be safe in cyberspace but also to develop comprehensively, becoming confident and brave "digital citizens" in the digital age.
