At the Conference on deploying and disseminating documents related to State management of youth work in 2024 held at Can Tho University on the afternoon of October 27, the Department of Home Affairs of Can Tho City shared and oriented about labor and employment, adding motivation to students after graduation.
Can Tho Department of Home Affairs said that it will continue to focus on emphasizing the State and local policies for Youth, such as: policies on learning and scientific research; labor and employment; entrepreneurship; protection, care and improvement of health; culture, physical education and sports; etc. to help young people perceive and take advantage of the incentives of policies to practice and seek development opportunities, affirm their own abilities, and contribute to the process of building and developing the country.
It is known that currently, many Can Tho students are still uncertain about choosing a job, some do not invest much in studying because they think the results will not affect their future work. Meanwhile, excellent graduates and young scientists have not yet had access to policies to attract and create a source of staff working in public service units.
For example, student Ngo Thi Thanh Ngan (47th class of Literature, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities) said that she is striving to achieve good results in her studies, aiming to graduate with honors, but is still worried and apprehensive about job opportunities at public service units after graduation because she has no practical experience.
"I hope to receive support policies and advice from teachers and the Department of Home Affairs to have the opportunity to work in a public sector environment, both to develop my expertise and to serve the city," Thanh Ngan expressed.
It is known that based on legal documents on plans and action programs of the Youth from the Central to local levels, excellent graduates and young scientists will be given priority in consideration and recruitment to work at the Departments, branches, and sectors of the city, public service units at the city level; specialized departments under the People's Committees of districts and counties; and public service units at the district level. This is the motivation and opportunity for young human resources to continue to strive for the highest level of study, strengthen scientific research, and combine theory and practical application.
“We hope that students will continue to promote the dynamic and creative spirit of Can Tho University students, actively exchange, learn and share their thoughts and aspirations to grasp their rights and obligations in work, study, and contribute to Can Tho City in the future,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh – Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs.
