Nguyen Trong Tung - Accounting major, Academy of Finance attended the 2024 Recruitment Day with excitement and nervousness.
Tung had long planned to pursue a career in finance and banking, but was worried about whether he could meet the requirements set by companies and businesses.
That's why, even though he's only in his third year, Tung attended the program, went to all the booths, and collected relevant information about the industry, employee requirements, working environment, income, etc.
"I had the opportunity to interact and contact the bank, learn about their needs, and orient the employees they are looking for. From there, I prepared my luggage after leaving the academy" - Tung said.
As for Ngo Thi Thu Thuy - a final year student majoring in Auditing at the Academy of Finance, the recruitment fair was like a bridge, opening up many opportunities for herself.
"I have chosen my goal and have participated in a direct interview with a reputable bank in Hanoi. This will be an opportunity for me to be accepted and work after graduation" - Thu Thuy shared.
Tran Thi Ngoc Bich, currently an employee of a bank branch in Tu Liem, Hanoi, was also present at the Academy of Finance to attend the 2024 Recruitment Day as a consultant and career orientator for students attending the event as well as providing attractive job opportunities.
What's special is that Ngoc Bich is a former student of the Academy of Finance and 2 years ago, also during the recruitment day organized by the academy, she found a job opportunity for herself.
"At that time, like many other students in the same class, I brought my resume to the recruitment day with the hope of finding a suitable job. I interviewed, was accepted into a bank, became an official employee and have maintained my job until now" - Ngoc Bich said.
From her own experiences, Bich Ngoc advises students to actively participate in recruitment activities and fairs from their second and third years to increase their chances. At the same time, each student needs to be aware of the meticulousness in the process of writing a job application.
"A CV with complete and neat information will be the basis for the employer to evaluate" - Ngoc Bich said.
The 2024 Job Fair is an annual event organized by the Academy of Finance, attracting prestigious units and businesses in many fields to participate, bringing about 5,000 job and internship opportunities not only to students of the Academy of Finance but also to a large number of students majoring in Economics in Hanoi.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung - President of the Academy of Finance - commented that the recruitment day is an opportunity for students to learn about the labor market through listening, interacting and understanding more deeply the needs of employers, thereby orienting their future career path.
"From approaching businesses and understanding recruitment needs, second and third year students will strive and practice so that after graduation, they can meet the requirements of the labor market. As for final year students, the program is an opportunity for them to find suitable job positions," said Mr. Tung.
The President of the Academy of Finance advises students to actively participate in clubs to hone their skills right from the start of school. At the same time, focus on scientific research to create opportunities for themselves to be exposed to new knowledge.
