Removing geographical bottlenecks, increasing supply-demand connection efficiency
Present at the Hanoi Employment Service Center in an online transaction session, the atmosphere of job search and consultation took place enthusiastically. Not only workers in Hanoi, many candidates from neighboring provinces also participated in online interviews.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Vu Quang Thanh - Deputy Director of Hanoi Employment Service Center - said that organizing online job fairs connecting inter-provinces is one of the center's key activities in recent times.
Since July, we have regularly organized online sessions every Monday morning, regularly coordinating with 6 provinces and cities. This activity is part of a series of efforts to apply digital transformation, aiming to connect businesses and workers most effectively, Mr. Thanh shared.
This model has proven to be extremely effective in breaking geographical barriers. Instead of having to travel costly, workers in provinces such as Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Thai Nguyen... can easily access businesses in Hanoi and vice versa. This not only helps save costs and time but also significantly expands the human resource supply for businesses and job choices for workers.
The biggest benefit is that there is almost no gap between businesses and workers. Through online support tools and screens, both sides can exchange and interact directly. We can make the most of resources, from data on labor supply and demand connected and shared between provinces, to minimizing costs for both sides, Mr. Thanh emphasized.
In July, the center organized 3 inter-provincial connection sessions. On average, each session has the participation of over 100 enterprises with recruitment needs up to tens of thousands of targets. At the Hanoi Stock Exchange alone, each session also has about 30-40 participating enterprises with more than 1,000 targets.
As a result, at the Hanoi Employment Service Center alone, each session has successfully connected over 100 workers right at the event.
Beware of the trap of "easy work, high salary" and worries of workers
In addition to the positive aspects that technology brings, the online job market also has many potential risks, especially fraud tricks.
Mr. Vu Quang Thanh especially warned workers to be very alert to the invitations of "easy work, high salary".
This is a psychological trap, hitting the greed and illusion of a part of the workers. We must affirm that there is never easy work with high salaries. Workers need to control information, seek legitimate and reputable recruitment channels such as at job service centers to avoid being scammed and having their legitimate interests violated, Mr. Thanh determined.
The concern about fraud is only a part, the bigger challenge for many workers today is finding a suitable job, especially for those with many years of experience.
Ms. Vu Thi Thu (Vinh Tuy ward, Hanoi), who has 15 years of experience in a business management position, shared that she has been looking for a job for a few months now but has not had any results.
The market now seems saturated. I wanted to find a job equivalent to my experience, but it was really difficult. However, going to the center also helps me have more opportunities to directly approach reputable businesses, said Ms. Thu.
Similarly, Ms. Trang Thu, with many years of experience in the marketing industry, is also struggling to find a new position after her old company dissolved. She believes that the restructuring, merger of businesses and the development of technologies such as AI have made the process of finding jobs more difficult.
In reality, although direct and online job fairs have opened up more bridges, finding a suitable position is still a big challenge for experienced workers. This requires consulting and vocational training programs to help workers adapt to market fluctuations.
