Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, Deputy Director of Daiwa Da Nang Co., Ltd. also stated the reality that, compared to previous times, recruiting unskilled workers is currently very difficult.
"In the first 6 months of the year, Daiwa Da Nang Co., Ltd. still could not recruit workers," said Mr. Nguyen Van Phu.
Responding to the petition, Mr. Truong Ngoc Hung, Deputy Department of Employment Policy, Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Da Nang City also agreed with the business.
Mr. Hung said, according to a survey by the Da Nang Employment Service Center , each year there are nearly 20 thousand units registering for recruitment.
The number of workers applying for unemployment insurance in the first 6 months of 2024 decreased by 17% compared to 2023.
However, a problem is that there are many businesses recruiting and resources available, but only 15% of workers come to the Da Nang Employment Service Center. This shows an imbalance between supply and demand for workers.
According to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Da Nang City, one of the causes of labor shortage is that currently, workers do not meet the requirements of businesses such as labor skills and working style. labor.
The second reason is because workers tend to move from formal businesses to informal businesses and freelance work.
The third reason is that because the regional minimum wage for workers in Da Nang City is more than 4.4 million VND/person/month, the salary of non-state enterprises is very low, about 5.3 million VND/month. person/month
Therefore, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Da Nang City has advised the city on solutions to support businesses in recruiting workers.
In particular, Da Nang Employment Service Center has advised and introduced jobs to workers at 3 locations at 278 Au Co, 657 Truong Chinh and 21 Phan Chau Trinh every Friday.
