Poland tests drone detection technology with sound

Poland tests a drone detection system using sound combined with artificial intelligence, to enhance border security against modern threats.

Poland is accelerating defense modernization by testing a series of new technologies to detect and counter drones.

In which, noteworthy are the sound reconnaissance system and electronic warfare (EW) solutions integrated with artificial intelligence.

The tests are implemented in the "East Shield" program, an initiative to strengthen border security against modern threats.

According to the Polish military, 7 sound reconnaissance platforms have been put into field assessment. These systems have the ability to identify and track drones in real time through analyzing sound signals emitted when the aircraft operates.

By processing "sonic tracks", the system can determine the position, direction of movement and level of danger of the aerial target.

This is considered an effective solution in the context of drones becoming increasingly compact and difficult for traditional radars to detect.

Along with that, Poland also tested 8 new electronic warfare systems, focusing on the ability to detect and jam control signals of drones.

These tools are integrated with AI to speed up data processing and support quick responses to unexpected situations.

According to developers, these systems are ready to be integrated directly into the military command network, allowing flexible coordination between units on the battlefield.

After the end of the current testing phase, a summary report will be submitted to the Polish Ministry of Defense, accompanied by a proposal for widespread deployment.

The next steps are being prepared, with 17 companies expected to participate in the new test round within the framework of the AMBER DEFENDER 26 exercise in June. This will be an opportunity to deeply assess the actual effectiveness of these technologies in a combat simulation environment.

The "East Shield" program not only focuses on technology but also includes infrastructure upgrades and strengthening coordination with international partners. The long-term goal is to build a multi-layered defense system, capable of responding to emerging threats, especially from unmanned aerial vehicles.

In the context of modern war increasingly dependent on technology, Poland's investment in sound detection solutions and electronic warfare shows a trend of shifting to more flexible and intelligent defense methods.
