On June 18, the leader of the People's Committee of Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh) said that a fire had just occurred in the city, killing 1 person.
"The city has directed the Department of Health to coordinate with local authorities to encourage and visit the victim's family," he said.
According to initial information, at around 10:30 a.m. the same day, a fire suddenly broke out from the bedroom of house number 34 Hoang Van Thu Street, Quang Trung Ward (Quy Nhon City). Discovering the fire, a woman living in the house immediately shouted, calling on people to help put out the fire and reported it to the authorities.
Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department, Binh Dinh Provincial Police mobilized 3 fire trucks and 10 officers and soldiers to quickly arrive at the scene. After many efforts, the fire was controlled and extinguished.
The fire caused Mr. Le Thai H (58 years old) to die in the bedroom - where the fire broke out.
At around 12 noon the same day, the authorities were still blocking off the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
