On August 27, in Truong Son commune, Quang Tri province, the Provincial Border Guard Command coordinated with localities and sponsors to organize an inauguration ceremony and hand over 100 new houses to poor households in ethnic minority areas.
Implementing the Program to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses, the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command was assigned by the Provincial Steering Committee to directly implement the construction of 256 houses for ethnic minorities in 3 communes: Dan Hoa, Truong Son and Kim Ngan.
After nearly 3 months of implementation, the Border Guards of Quang Tri province and localities have basically completed the construction of houses for people, including 100 houses in Truong Son commune.
In Truong Son commune, the new houses have been completed, ensuring standards, stability, safety, aesthetics, and functions in accordance with the customs and practices of the people.
The funding to support the construction of 100 houses with a total value of 12 billion VND is from the funding source for implementing the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas, the socialized funding source is called for and mobilized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province, including the active contribution and support from Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup Corporation.
Colonel Ngo Van Dung, Deputy Political Commissar of the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard, said that during the implementation process, this is a complex border area with difficult travel, many places have to use human resources and military effort to transport materials.
However, with high determination, responsibility and affection for the people and people in the border area, the Border Guard of Quang Tri province has had many flexible and creative implementation policies and solutions to speed up the construction progress.
Colonel Ngo Van Dung hopes that in the coming time, people will soon stabilize their lives, develop their business and economy, and actively participate in supporting the Border Guard to firmly protect territorial sovereignty and national border security.
The Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee continue to pay attention, leaders of departments, branches and localities continue to closely coordinate with the Provincial Border Guard in supporting and calling for resources to support the construction of houses for people in the border area. The locality pays attention to land fund planning, arranging suitable residential areas, coordinating the review and selection of subjects to support fairness, objectivity, and creating high consensus.
The new houses are of great significance, contributing to helping people have a solid and safe place to live and work; have conditions for economic development, improve the quality of life, contribute to strengthening the trust of the people and ethnic minorities in the Party, the State, local Party committees, authorities and the Border Guard. This is also a meaningful and practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2.
On this occasion, the Border Guard Command of Quang Tri province, local authorities and units presented meaningful and essential gifts to many households in Rin Rin village, Truong Son commune.
