The location where the martyrs' remains were discovered was about 15m from the previous search area. According to information provided by the professional agency, the location where the remains of martyrs were discovered included units of Division 304, Army Corps 2 participating in the fight on the Khe Sanh front.
It is known that in Xa Re village, from May 19 to June 6, 2025 (the location for finding kienches in area 1) the Martyrs' Remains Collection Team of Economic - Defense Group 337 searched, collected and buried 8 martyrs' remains. Then, from August 13 to August 20, 5 more martyrs' remains were discovered, of which the remains of martyr No. 5 collected on August 20 contained the relic of a small hand-carried aluminum sign with the words "SH-18- 15X".
Currently, the unit is continuing to expand the search area around the location where the martyrs' remains were discovered. Thus, 18 martyrs' remains have been discovered and collected in 2 search areas.
