On June 1st, Cao Bang Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the President's 2026 amnesty decision for prisoners who meet the conditions according to regulations.
Attending the ceremony were leaders of the Provincial Police, representatives of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF), the Provincial People's Procuracy, the Provincial People's Court and local authorities.
At the ceremony, representatives of the Board of Directors of the Provincial Police Detention Center announced Decision No. 751/QD-CTN dated May 26, 2026 of the President on amnesty for 2026.
According to the decision, there are 9,950 prisoners serving prison sentences nationwide who are granted amnesty from June 1, 2026. In Cao Bang province alone, there are 12 prisoners who are eligible to enjoy this amnesty policy.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Doan Hong Hieu - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, Head of the Provincial Police Criminal Judgment Enforcement Agency - requested functional units and local police to continue to coordinate with Party committees, authorities, and mass organizations in receiving, managing, educating and supporting people granted special amnesty to reintegrate into the community.
At the same time, create conditions for people granted amnesty to have jobs, stabilize their lives, and limit the risk of recidivism; pay attention to supporting cases in difficult circumstances to access loans and social security programs for economic development.
For special amnesty prisoners, the leaders of the Provincial Police hope that after returning to their localities, they will continue to strictly comply with the provisions of the law, actively work, study, develop the family economy, soon stabilize their lives and become useful citizens for society.
