On the morning of September 2nd, forces under the Ho Chi Minh City Command were present at the high-altitude fireworks battlefield at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel (An Khanh ward), urgently completing the final stages before firing.
This is one of the 7 fireworks display locations arranged by Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate the 81st National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2026).
At the battlefield, army forces, militia and self-defense forces and technical teams coordinated to deploy items according to the plan. Each artillery shell and tube was checked, numbered and arranged according to position to ensure that the firing process took place accurately and synchronously.
This year, the battlefield applies an automatic firing system instead of manual methods. The system is programmed according to a scenario, allowing the artillery to fire in the set order.
Safety assurance and weather response are also being implemented. The firecrackers are covered and moistened to limit the impact of rain during the program.
According to the plan, Ho Chi Minh City will organize fireworks displays from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM on September 2nd. In which, the battlefield at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel is the largest-scale firing point.
According to the announced plan, this area uses 1,200 high-altitude firecrackers, 60 low-altitude firecrackers, along with 40 fireworks and 500 single tubes to create effects.
Nearby, the Marina Building firing point is also equipped with 90 low-altitude rigs, 60 firework rigs and up to 12,540 firework tubes creating a bamboo effect.
In addition to the fireworks display point at the Saigon River tunnel entrance, Ho Chi Minh City also organizes high-altitude fireworks displays combined with low-altitude fireworks at the New City Center (Binh Duong ward) and Tam Thang Tower Square (Vung Tau ward) with 500 high-altitude fireworks and 60 low-altitude fireworks displays.
The four low-altitude firing points include Ba Ria Square Park (Ba Ria ward), Dam Sen Cultural Park (Binh Thoi ward), Saigon Marina IFC tower (Saigon ward) and Kim Long villa area, Rach Dia bridge area (Nha Be commune).
Fireworks at 7 locations will simultaneously take place in 15 minutes, creating a highlight to celebrate National Day September 2nd in Ho Chi Minh City.
