On September 20, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province issued a decision approving the investment policy for the International Health Quarantine Headquarters project at Long Thanh airport with a total investment of about 161 billion VND from the provincial budget.
The project was assigned by the Provincial People's Committee to the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board as the investor. The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the investor to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Health, the Provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC) and related units to organize the establishment of the International Health Quarantine Headquarters project at Long Thanh airport.
The International Medical Quarantine Headquarters Project at Long Thanh Airport will be invested in construction at lot CQ10.B according to the approved plan with an area of over 4,500m2 at Long Thanh Airport.
The project will invest in the construction of items including: isolation block (3 floors); administrative block (5 floors above ground, 1 basement); auxiliary items such as: oxygen station, power generation station, technical house - wastewater treatment station, security house and technical infrastructure system, investment in equipment for quarantine activities according to regulations.
The International Health Quarantine Headquarters Project at Long Thanh airport is being invested in with the goal of building an international health quarantine headquarters to prevent and promptly respond to infectious diseases and be capable of meeting public health events spread through Vietnamese border gates. Medical treatment, prevention of pathogens, disease transmission intermediaries, objects carrying infectious pathogens, and risk factors for epidemics to protect public health.
