On September 20, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province issued a document conveying the opinion of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requesting the Department of Construction to base on regulations to organize the selection of investors in special cases for the fuel pipeline project for aircraft from the first port to Long Thanh International Airport (abbreviated as Long Thanh airport). Do not propose the Provincial People's Committee to give policies for the contents already included in the provisions of law; at the same time, the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments and companies to urgently give comments according to the proposal of the Department of Construction on collecting opinions on the evaluation of the dossier proposing to select investors in special cases.
Previously, on September 15, 2025, the Department of Construction issued Official Letter No. 2510/SoXD-QLHTKT on considering approving the process of organizing the selection of investors in special cases for the fuel pipeline project for aircraft from the upstream port to Long Thanh airport;
Official dispatch No. 2538/SoXD-QLHTKT dated September 15, 2025 of the Department of Construction on consulting on the appraisal of the proposal for selecting an investor in special cases due to a consortium of investors of Vietnam Air fuel One Member Co., Ltd. (Skypec), Dong Duong Air fuel Group Joint Stock Company, Thai Nam Investment Group Company for the fuel pipeline system project for aircraft from the upstream port to Long Thanh airport.
According to the provincial Department of Construction, the aircraft fuel pipeline project at Long Thanh airport has a scale of investment in the construction of 2 parallel pipelines, each route is over 23km long, with an expected pipeline diameter of 12-16 inches connecting from the front warehouse at Go Dau Industrial Park to the warehouse of Long Thanh Airport. The total estimated investment of the project is nearly 1,500 billion VND, including costs such as: site clearance, construction, equipment, project management...
On September 11, the Government Office issued Document No. 474/TB-VPCP announcing the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at the progress inspection of the Long Thanh airport project phase 1 and connecting infrastructure projects. The Government leader requested the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to urgently complete the selection of investors to implement the fuel pipeline system project for aircraft from the primary port to the airport in September 2025 to ensure the completion of the project before December 19, 2025.
