Information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Ministry of Public Security, in the time frame from 8:00 PM to 12:00 PM on December 31, 2025, traffic police forces nationwide simultaneously launched campaigns to control and handle alcohol concentration topics according to the orders of the Director of the Traffic Police Department.
According to statistics, the traffic police force in 34/34 localities has controlled a total of 42,572 vehicles, including 1,476 passenger cars, 2,763 trucks, 8,006 cars, 28,809 motorbikes, 3 specialized cars and 1,065 rudimentary vehicles and other means of transport.
Through inspection, functional forces discovered and made records to handle 1,735 cases of alcohol concentration violations. Including 2 cases of passenger cars, 5 trucks, 22 cars, 1,662 motorbikes and 44 rudimentary vehicles and other means of transport.

In addition to alcohol concentration violations, traffic police also handle many related violations, such as: 729 cases without driver's licenses; 482 cases without vehicle registration; 7 cases related to vehicle modification; 106 cases without rearview mirrors...
As a result, functional forces temporarily seized 1,735 vehicles and revoked 211 driver's licenses of all kinds.
Age analysis shows that the highest rate of violations is from 36 to 55 years old with 1,020 cases (58.79%). The group from 18 to 35 years old has 527 cases (30.37%); over 55 years old has 176 cases (10.14%); under 18 years old recorded 12 cases (0.69%).
The Traffic Police Department said that on the morning of the 1st day of the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo, the national traffic police force will continue to simultaneously check alcohol concentration. The simultaneous control campaign nationwide will be maintained regularly and continuously, even during holidays and Tet, in order to gradually form and strengthen the habit of "don't drive after drinking alcohol and beer" in the community.
