On the morning of October 23, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Hanoi City Police continued to deploy the installation of an artificial intelligence (AI) integrated camera system at the Pham Hung - Khuat Duy Tien intersection.
The AI camera system is deployed with many modern features, such as 360-degree scanning, clearly identifying objects, phenomena, and objects at a distance of 500-700m; operating in all weather conditions and harsh environments.
According to the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, unlike regular cameras, the AI camera system will process and analyze videos right at the camera ( xu ly at the edge) for traffic violations, security and order violations and send them to the monitoring center to read data and compare it with the system's database.
At the same time, this camera system also helps increase the accuracy of detecting traffic violations, security and order situations, reduce latency and reduce resources of the server system at the center...
In addition, the AI camera will automatically measure the traffic at the intersections to send real information to automatically control the traffic light cycle in real time, optimize traffic at the button, reduce congestion, and waiting time for red lights of vehicles.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Dao Viet Long - Deputy Head of Hanoi Traffic Police Department, the operation of the AI camera system in December 2025 is an important step in the digital transformation roadmap of the capital's traffic police force.
"The AI camera system also helps recognize license plates, support the tracing of vehicles related to security and order incidents, traffic accidents, and contributes to building smart cities, safe, civilized and modern transportation," said Lieutenant Colonel Dao Viet Long.

Also on the morning of October 23, at the Command Information Center - Hanoi City Police, a Conference was held to report the progress of the project to renovate and upgrade the Traffic Control and Peripheral Equipment Center Phase 2.
Presenting at the Conference, Lieutenant Colonel Ta Quoc Dung - Head of the Logistics Department (Hanoi City Police) - said that the Project to renovate and upgrade the Traffic Control and Peripheral Equipment Center Phase 2 is the next step in the roadmap to build a smart urban transport system of the Capital, contributing to improving the capacity to manage, supervise and operate traffic on a digital technology platform.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Dung, during the implementation process, despite many technical difficulties and infrastructure conditions that have somewhat affected the construction progress, with the close direction of the CATP Board of Directors, the units have proactively removed difficulties, ensuring the progress and quality of the project.

The contractor's representative, Mr. Duong Duc Manh - Head of product department of TFS Company - reported that as of October 17, 2025, the units have completed the construction, put into use the 3rd floor and the traffic light control center's server room; on October 22, 2025, 95% of the installation of cameras to handle violations and traffic cameras has been completed.
Some remaining items, such as fiber optic cable construction, cabinet installation, and off-site equipment counting, are being urgently deployed to ensure acceptance and handover on schedule.
Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung - Director of Hanoi City Police Department - praised the efforts and sense of responsibility of participating units and construction contractors.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung emphasized that the traffic control system is an important technical infrastructure, directly related to safety, urban order and quality of service to the people. Every construction stage must put safety, accuracy and aesthetics first.
