On the evening of August 27, speaking with Lao Dong, Major Nguyen Ha Van Tung - Captain of Road Traffic Police Team No. 3, Traffic Police Department of Lao Cai Provincial Police said that a traffic accident had just occurred in the area between 2 motorbikes, injuring 3 people.
Accordingly, at about 3:00 p.m. the same day, at Km274+900m, National Highway 37 in Dong Tam 8 residential group, Yen Bai ward, a motorbike with license plate 21B2-004.19 driven by Mr. Nguyen Van Lam (born in 1975) carrying Nguyen Phuong Anh (born in 2021, also residing in Group 7, Van Phu ward), traveling from Dien Bien Street towards Km5.
When reaching Km274+900m, National Highway 37, the vehicle curved through the Km5 roundabout and collided with a motorbike with license plate 21BA-095.41 driven by Bach Thien Huy (born in 2009) carrying Nguyen Minh An (born in 2008, also residing in Yen Binh commune) traveling in the opposite direction.
The collision resulted in severe damage to 2 vehicles and 3 injuries. In which Phuong Anh was seriously injured.
As soon as the incident occurred, Road Traffic Police Team No. 3 was present at the scene to coordinate with the people to urgently take the injured to Lao Cai General Hospital No. 1 for emergency treatment.
Phuong Anh has been transferred to a higher-level hospital for treatment.
The accident is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
