A former youth volunteer from Tuyen Quang has been in Hanoi since August 25, waiting to join the crowd to watch the parade.

Ms. Tham is the President of the Former Youth Volunteer Association of An Khang Commune - Tuyen Quang City, she arranged her work at home, made a plan, took a bus to Hanoi, stayed at relatives' houses in Nguyen Xa Village, Tay Tuu, Hanoi for a few days to immerse herself in the joyful atmosphere of the nation in the capital.

At 2:00 p.m. on August 27, Ms. To Thi Them (An Khang Commune - Tuyen Quang City) traveled by train from Nhon Station - to Cau Giay Station, then joined the pedestrian group to enter the central area, waiting for the moment to see the preliminary parade on August 27.

Meeting me, sitting and telling the story on the train from Nhon Station to Cau Giay Station, memories of the days when Mrs. Tham was a youth volunteer to help Laos flood back.

"It is true that achieving peace like today is not easy, many generations of our ancestors have passed down. Our generation has also contributed a part of its efforts to the country. Now, when I see red flags with yellow stars flying everywhere, and join the crowd of people watching the parade, I feel extremely moved" - Ms. Tham shared.

At the age of eighteen and twenty, the young volunteer girl participated in breaking rocks to open the road. For many years, Mrs. Tham and her teammates have never been discouraged despite all the hardships.

"It is the solidarity and national spirit that motivates us. In the circumstances at that time, lacking everything, the young volunteers were always full of enthusiasm and worked tirelessly. Now seeing the younger generation enthusiastically joining the crowd of people cheering for the parade, I suddenly see my youth again. "So beautiful" - Ms. Tham was moved to tears.

During the days of the national National Day celebration on September 2, Ms. Tham and her family also prepared and planned to participate in as many activities as possible.

Joining the crowd of people watching "national concerts" as the youth say, Mrs. Tham's luggage is as simple as when she used to walk to the front. It was just a small backpack, a few bread to replace dry food, a few cucumbers and a bottle of water. The biggest piece of belonging is probably the red flag with a yellow star carrying national spirit, the proud and profound spirit of the former female youth volunteer.

"I hope that the National Day holiday on September 2 will be a great success. Hopefully, the younger generation will cherish peace, be united in all circumstances, and together build an increasingly rich and beautiful country" - the former female youth volunteer said.
