National Highway 13: Building a 4-lane elevated bridge, expanding to 60 m
National Highway 13 from Binh Trieu bridge to Vinh Binh bridge, nearly 6 km long, is the Northeast gateway of Ho Chi Minh City, currently the road surface is only 19 - 27 m wide (4 - 6 lanes), often congested during peak hours.
This section of National Highway 13 will be expanded to 60 m, 2-3 times the existing level. About 3.2 km of the middle section will build an elevated road (overpass) with 4 lanes, design speed of 80 km/h. Below, a parallel road will be built with 3 lanes on each side, with a maximum speed of 60 km/h for mixed vehicles.
Two two-way underpasses will be built at the Binh Loi and Binh Phuoc intersections.

Total investment capital is nearly 21,000 billion VND in BOT form (build - operate - transfer). Of which, the city budget is more than 14,600 billion VND for compensation, support, and resettlement.
It is estimated that about 1,055 households and organizations will be affected, and more than 200 households will have to be completely cleared.
The project started in the fourth quarter of 2026 and will be completed in 2028.
National Highway 1 expanded to 10 - 12 lanes
National Highway 1 (the section from Kinh Duong Vuong street to the border of Tay Ninh province) nearly 10 km long is the western gateway of Ho Chi Minh City.
This section of national highway will be expanded to 60 m with 10 - 12 lanes, replacing the existing 6 lanes. Among them, 6 - 8 main lanes (design speed of 80 km/h). Two parallel roads on both sides (speed of 60 km/h) are for motorbikes and mixed vehicles.
The project will complete the Binh Thuan intersection with a scale of 3 floors, including: Building 2 more parallel overpasses (2 lanes on each side) on National Highway 1; building 2 underpasses (2 lanes each) connecting Nguyen Van Linh street with the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway access road.
At the intersection of National Highway 1 - Kinh Duong Vuong - Tran Dai Nghia, a 4-lane overpass is built.
At Binh Dien bridge across the Cho Dem River, there are currently 2 bridges with a total of 6 lanes; a new bridge will be built on the right side, with a scale of 6 lanes.

The total investment is about 16,285 billion VND in BOT form; of which more than 9,600 billion VND is from the budget for compensation and site clearance.
Project to recover land from 2,241 households in Tan Tao, An Lac wards and Tan Nhut, Binh Chanh communes.
The project is expected to start construction in the fourth quarter of 2026 and be completed by the end of 2028.
National Highway 22: 7 more overpasses, expanded to 10 lanes
National Highway 22 is the northwest gateway of Ho Chi Minh City. This is a vital route connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Moc Bai international border gate (Tay Ninh), but currently the road surface is only 36 - 40 m wide.
The section from An Suong intersection to Ring Road 3, 8 km long, will be expanded to 60 m with 10 lanes.
On the route, 7 overpasses are built at major intersections such as Nguyen Anh Thu, Nguyen Thi Soc - Nha Vuong, Le Thi Ha, Tran Van Muoi - Ba Trieu, Ly Thuong Kiet - Nguyen Van Bua, Nguyen Thi Nuoi and Duong Cong Khi - Le Loi.

The project has a total capital of more than 10,400 billion VND in BOT form; of which, the Ho Chi Minh City budget spends more than 6,200 billion VND on compensation and site clearance.
The project is expected to start construction in the third quarter of 2026 and be completed in 2028.
North - South axis: Building elevated roads in the middle of Nguyen Huu Tho route
The North - South trunk road (Nguyen Huu Tho street), the section from Nguyen Van Linh street to Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, more than 8 km long, is the southern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City.
The road will be expanded to 60 m, combined with the construction of an elevated road about 6.62 km long in the middle.
The elevated road has a cross-section of 18.5 m, arranged with 4 car lanes (2 lanes in each direction), a design speed of 80 km/h, completely separated from the parallel road system below.
The up and down branches are arranged in the Rach Dia bridge area, near the Nguyen Van Tao intersection and the section in the middle of the route (the area connecting warehouse B).
Underground, two parallel routes will be built, with 3 lanes on each side, with a maximum speed of 60 km/h.

The total investment of the project is nearly 9,894 billion VND. The state budget is responsible for site clearance and investment in two important intersections on Nguyen Van Linh road and Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway; the remaining part is implemented in BOT form (about 6,106 billion VND).
The project is expected to start construction in the third quarter of 2026 and be completed in 2028.
