On May 10, the leader of the People's Committee of Cu Dlie Mnong commune (Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province) informed that an incident had just occurred in which two children died in a lake.
Initial information, at around 10:30 a.m. the same day, four children including Y.H.K (born in 2017), H.T.K (born in 2015), Y.T (born in 2017) and Y.L.N.N (born in 2016) living in the same commune went to the reservoir to play and bathe.
At around 11am, Y.H.K and Y.L.N. ran back to report to their drowning family. People then went to the lake to search and reported to the authorities.
At around 12 noon, H.T.K was taken to the emergency room but died. Not long after, Y.T's body was also found in the lake.
Through research, the family circumstances of the two children are all households with difficult circumstances in the commune.
