A boy in a kindergarten drowned while swimming in a dike in Phu Yen

    Phu Yen - While swimming in the dike with a group of friends, the boy at the Children's Hospital of Mang Lang Church (Tuy An district) unfortunately drowned and died.

    On May 8, the leader of the People's Committee of An Thach commune (Tuy An district, Phu Yen province) confirmed that a drowning incident had just occurred in the commune, causing the death of a boy.

    According to initial information, at around 9:00 a.m. the same day, Mai Anh Gia P (born in 2012, residing at Mang Lang Church Kindergarten, An Thach Commune) along with Nguyen Viet V and Nguyen Quoc Th (both born in 2012, residing in An Thach Commune) went to the sandbank area of Binh Phu dike, downstream of Tam Giang dam (An Thach Commune) to swim.

    While swimming, Mai Anh Gia P unfortunately drowned and died. Discovering the incident, Mr. Pham Hoai Vu (born in 1976, local people) brought P's body to shore and handed it over to the children's hospital of Mang Lang Church for burial.
