On June 20, Lao Dong Newspaper's reporter in a number of communes and wards in Son La city showed that preparations for the operation of local governments according to the 2-level model are being implemented urgently and seriously.
At To Hieu Ward People's Committee, the activities of receiving people and handling administrative procedures are still taking place normally. The officials and civil servants here are also focusing on reviewing, classifying, and handing over records and documents according to instructions.
Similarly, in Chieng Coi ward, cadres and civil servants here are also actively preparing the necessary conditions to organize the trial operation of the 2-level government model from June 25 to 30, 2025.
The representative of the Chieng Coi Ward People's Committee said that the trial operation contents include the work of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, the operation of the Public Administration Service Center and socio-political organizations.
Along with Chieng Coi ward, three other wards, To Hieu, Chieng An and Chieng Sinh, will also organize a trial operation of the 2-level government model during the same period.
Son La City Party Secretary Ha Trung Chien said that after a period of trial operation, the units will summarize and evaluate to learn from experience, ensuring the operation of the new government is smooth and effective.
According to Resolution No. 1681/NQ-UBTVQH15, after the arrangement, Son La province has 75 commune-level administrative units, including 67 communes and 8 wards. The new administrative units will officially come into operation from July 1, 2025.
