Information from the Traffic Police Department of Bac Ninh Province Police said that, implementing the order of the Director of the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) on launching a peak period of inspection and handling of alcohol concentration violations, last night (October 19), the Traffic Police force of the whole province of Bac Ninh simultaneously launched a campaign, mobilizing maximum number of troops, coordinating with professional forces and local police to deploy controls on the entire route.
As a result, the whole province has recorded 639 cases of traffic safety and order violations, of which 254 cases violated alcohol concentration (243 people driving motorbikes, 11 cars), temporarily detained hundreds of vehicles and related documents, with an estimated total fine of more than 2.8 billion VND.
Working groups in Kinh Bac, Vo Cuong, Viet Yen, National Highway 1A and Bac Giang recorded the highest number of alcohol concentration violations with 18 to 37 cases per group.
Notably, working groups in Que Vo, Yen Phong, Tu Son, Tien Du also discovered many violations at a level far exceeding the regulations, especially in the group of people driving motorbikes from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
21 working groups across the province have deployed 321 traffic police officers and 210 officers and soldiers of all forces to coordinate in patrolling, controlling and handling on national highways, provincial roads, urban areas, industrial parks, bars - karaoke bars - restaurants.
In addition to alcohol concentration checks, working groups also handled 83 cases of speeding violations, 25 cases of not obeying traffic signals, 18 cases of not wearing helmets, and many errors in oversizing, overloading, and covering license plates.
The Traffic Police Department of Bac Ninh Province Police affirmed that it will regularly maintain working groups, increase surprise inspections at routes and areas at high risk of accidents; at the same time, promote propaganda and mobilize people to raise awareness of voluntarily complying with traffic laws.
This is the second consecutive day that the Bac Ninh Traffic Police force has launched a simultaneous campaign under the Order of the Director of the Traffic Police Department, demonstrating the strong determination of the entire force in preventing alcohol concentration violations, contributing to reducing accidents and maintaining peace on all roads.
